These are the directions for accessing a list of current Region/Chapter members.

NOTE: You will need to be set up as a Group Admin for your Chapter Region, please send us a request.

 

Introduction

NYSVMS maintains a list of current members in the central online database in the YourMembership program. We recommend that Regions and Chapters do not maintain separate lists but use the current database that can be downloaded here.


Your Responsibility

NYSVMS makes commitments to members not to use their contact information for anything other than communications about NYSVMS activities.

 
ON NO ACCOUNT SHOULD YOU PROVIDE THESE LISTS TO ANYONE. ONLY THOSE WITH ACCESS GRANTED TO THE DATABASE MAY USE THE CONTACT DETAILS ON THE LIST.
IF OTHER CHAPTER LEADERS WANT A COPY OF THE LIST, PLEASE DO NOT GIVE THEM THE LIST BUT REFER THEM TO NYSVMS AND WE WILL PROVIDE ACCESS.


Granting Access

Please contact NYSVMS for access to the region/chapter membership list. Each access is for the person it was given to. Passwords should not be shared with others, this is very important.

Once you have Access

In our system your region or chapter is called a “Group”.  All your members will be members of this Group, and all of your events will be associated with this Group.

You will be one of the Group Administrators and using your access you will be able to:

•Export a current membership list

•Create an online event and setup registration•See the current registration list for an event

Accessing the Group Admin Home Screen

Once you have group admin rights, find your Region Home Page.


Use the Regional Map accessed from the far right of the website, under the “Community” tab, or go straight to this page http://nysvms.site-ym.com/?page=RegionalMap

 

Click on any county in your region and you will be taken to your home page. You should see on it the following screen. Everything you need is found by clicking on “Group Admin Options”.


 



Using Group Admin Options to obtain a member list

Once you click on the “Group Admin Options” icon you will see a menu. 

 

DO NOT USE THE MEMBER MANAGEMENT SECTION 


To obtain a member list go to the REPORTING section and click on "Available Reports."


There you will see the member reports that we have set up for you.

Usually we will add one that shows current members and one that shows all the people that have been linked to your region in the past, as in the example below
